What do I need to do with my plates?
You should remove your plates. You can transfer them to a new vehicle by completing the Motor Vehicle Registration, Tax and Title Application.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You may need to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
Contact your insurer directly for steps to remove the vehicle from your policy.
