What do I need to do with my plates?
Fill out the License Plate Turn In form and return it, along with your plates, to your local DMV office. You can also mail it in or transfer the plates to another vehicle.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You must complete the Notice of Vehicle Sold form and return it to the DMV.
Don't cancel your insurance until you've taken care of your plates and registration for this state. Once those steps are done, contact your insurer to remove the vehicle from your policy.
