What do I need to do with my plates?
Plates can be transferred to a new vehicle or surrendered to the DMV.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You may need to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
You may be eligible for a refund once plates have been surrendered.
Don't cancel your insurance until you've taken care of your plates and registration for this state. Once those steps are done, contact your insurer to remove the vehicle from your policy.
