Remove your license plate at the time of sale.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You may need to notify the BMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
Don't cancel your insurance until you've taken care of your plates and registration for this state. Once those steps are done, contact your insurer to remove the vehicle from your policy.
